We’re now ‘Uniting’!

From today all of UnitingCare NSW.ACT services will go by a new name ‘Uniting’.

Uniting, a vibrant and welcoming community service organisation, is the single largest provider of aged care in New South Wales and the ACT. Yet, research has shown that there was very low awareness of the organisation and the great work it does, in the areas of aged care and disability, community services, and chaplaincy.

To communicate the organisation’s work and reach more people, a new brand goes live today.

The new name, Uniting, and distinctive new brand will help communicate the organisation’s work, reach more people and speak-up for the many vulnerable and disadvantaged it stands beside every day.

Executive Director of Uniting, Peter Worland launched the brand today at 222 Pitt Street.

Mr Worland, said he was proud of the work Uniting does in the community and to see all Uniting services adopting a new name, one which truly represents them.

“All of our services are going to look more like one family. Our new name, Uniting, represents our vibrant homes and services.

Uniting will continue to be a strong voice for disadvantaged people and will be taking a more visible public stance on some of the country’s most challenging social issues.

“We advocate on behalf of the thousands of individuals we serve every day. Our celebrations today reaffirm our commitment to the people we serve every day. We’ll do everything we can to help them live the lives they choose.

“Of course, we proudly remain a part of the Uniting Church and look forward to furthering its ministry,” Mr Worland said.
