Surprised by Grief
Janine Fair, Inter-Varsity Press
Janine Fair’s husband died very suddenly of an asthma attack and her path to recovery was both long and gruelling. Janine writes about the overwhelming loneliness and the sense of grief and guilt that she was not able to save her husband’s life.
However, she too is eventually able to move on and today works as a life coach.
Dr Pablo Martinez, psychiatrist and author, once wrote that “Bereavement is a path that no-one can walk for you, but the experience of those who have already walked through it can be a soothing help.”
These books will all be a source of soothing help to people who have been bereaved.
