I Choose Everything
Jozanne Moss & Michael Wenham, Monarch Books
I Choose Everything is written by two Christians who have never met in person but who collaborated to write of their shared experience of living with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig’s disease, with faith.
Lou Gehrig’s disease is a degenerative and ultimately fatal disease. Jozanne Moss, who lives in South Africa, and Anglican priest Michael Wenham, who lives in Britain, worked on this book via the internet.
They are both married with children. They are also resilient and extremely brave.
The book is divided into two main parts: Jozanne’s Story and theological reflections on topics such as healing and faith, praying truthfully and compassion.
Grace’s husband was David Sheppard, a former captain of the England cricket team and an Anglican Bishop, who died of bowel cancer in 2005.
Grace writes sadly but matter-of-factly about how she coped with his long illness and death.
