And the winners were?

And the winners were?

In the world of movies, the big news this week was the Academy Awards.

Our resident commentators on pop culture, The Big Picture Team, dedicated their latest show to the 2016 Oscars. Going to air on Sydney’s Hope 103.2 FM last Sunday night, (one day before the winners were announced), the show featured scriptwriter Mark Hadley and film reviewer Ben McEachen predicting who would win at the glitzy ceremony.

Click here to check out what they predicted, and whether they were right or wrong.

Press play below to get into Ben’s review of 45 Years, a small and powerful movie about a huge topic — honesty in marriage. Mark filled us in on why the impact of Oscar-heavyweight The Revenant has more to do with our approach to justice, than Leonardo DiCaprio’s performance. And to round out their Oscar special, Mark reveals the Top 5 times when Oscar got it wrong, wrong, wrong.

Subscribe to The Big Picture podcast and get your weekly dose of Christian commentary about movies, TV and pop culture.
