Australia’s Joel Edgerton stars as Brendan, a physics schoolteacher who grew up in a broken home and wants a better future for his own family. His sick daughter’s medical bills place him in increasing debt, and he is forced to either declare bankruptcy or go back to what he knows will pay: professional fighting.

Meanwhile, Brendan’s younger brother, a troubled ex-marine named Tommy (Tom Hardy), returns home to enlist their ex-alcoholic father (Nick Nolte) to coach him to fight in an MMA competition.

The estranged brothers inevitably end up in the same competition — each fighting to win the prize money which they both desperately need. Tommy’s uncontrolled rage makes him a likely frontrunner while Brendan’s comeback determination makes for the ultimate underdog story. It is only a matter of time before the brothers will face each other in the ring, but with a winner takes all scenario and years of bitterness between them, the greatest battle of all will be to forgive.

With authentic performances and intense action, Warrior is a gritty, strongly emotional affair that deals with broken families and second chances.
