One Memorable Summer

Lachlan Ness, Akangarooloose.com Publishers
Reading this book is like a stroll through a beautiful garden. There is an occasional weed here and there, but it is mostly about people who practice the command of Jesus to “love one another”.
Lachlan Ness is a Presbyterian minister called to a locum ministry in Caithness, Scotland.
Lachlan and his wife, Janet, are taken out of their comfort zone in Australia for six months and transplanted to this extremely northern area of Scotland for a Scottish spring and summer.
They are welcomed with open arms by the Presbyterian parishes where he runs worship services and provides pastoral care. Due to a shortage of ministers in the area he also extends his pastoral care ecumenically.
I will be looking for this author’s other books on my library shelves, A Kangaroo Loose in the Top Paddock and A Kangaroo Loose in Shetland.
Lachlan Ness writes well and clearly shows his loving care of his fellow man and all of God’s creation.
