Topics we will be covering are:

• Mission Shaped Taster
  Join Rev Dr Rob McFarlane as he explores some of the basic ideas behind Mission Shaped Ministry. Join in to gain a sharpened understanding of mission, what church is, and what a Fresh Expression is.

• Uniting Earth: Introduction to Climate Anxiety and Pastoral Care
  Join our Uniting Earth Advocate Jessica Morthorpe as she explores climate anxiety and how
  climate and mental health are big issues for our churches and communities.
  Date: Thursday 11th June 2020
  Time: 10am- 11:30am
• Domestic Family Violence
  Join Rev Christine Bayliss Kelly as she brings awareness of severity of Domestic in our Church
  and Community; explores how to assist people who are experiencing, or use, violence against intimate partners or family members. Begin to unpack a process and support structure for
  victims of violence you encounter.

• Tertiary Ministry and Mission Conversation
  Join Rev Dr Amelia Koh Butler and Rev Dr Christine Gapes as they reflect their journey as Sydney Chaplains at Western Sydney University, and how they explore faith in a learning environment, and what opportunities are available to further explore in this environment with
  Congregations.
  Date: Thursday 11th June
  Time: 2pm – 3pm
• Uniting Advocacy: Engaging the Political Process 
  Join our Senior Advocacy Specialist Jon O’Brien as he explores how to engage Members of
  Parliament (MP’s) for change. This workshop will equip you to write, speak or meet with your
  local MP about the issues you care about, in a clear and engaging way.

  Time: 10am – 1130am
• Introduction to Messy Church
  Join Rev Karen Mitchell Lambert from UME Pulse and Mrs Alli Atkins talk about this Fresh
  expression of Church. Will also explore how to develop and share resources for your congregation.
