Uniting for peace

Uniting for peace

September 21 is International Day of Peace, which is observed around the world with prayers and thoughts on peace. This year, Parramatta Mission is planning to celebrate the day by holding an Interfaith Prayer Service, with prayers to be offered by people representing twelve different faith/cultural backgrounds for peace and harmony.

We invite all to join us at the Interfaith Prayer Service to be held at Parramatta Mission’s Fellowship Centre next to Leigh Memorial on Sunday 21 September 2014, commencing at 2pm. Parramatta Mission is located at 119 Macquarie Street, Parramatta.

Following the service, refreshments will be served and twenty five peace doves will be released to mark this significant day.

As a Uniting Church community, we can be leaders in encouraging everyone around us to remember each day the importance of inclusion, respect and dignity, helping to make a more peaceful life for all, uniting for the common good.

If you would like to attend Parramatta Mission’s Interfaith Prayer Service, or for more information, please contact Rev. Dr Manas Ghosh on (02) 8626 4072 or email Manas.Ghosh@parramattamission.org.au
