Extraordinary Love

Extraordinary Love

Extraordinary Love is an up-beat CD with varying musical styles including rap, rock and a verse in Spanish. The songs concentrate on simple messages concerning fear, giving, God and truth.

John Angotti wrote or co-wrote these songs. He also plays the piano and sings in a nice, clear voice with a good grasp of rhythm. The words are catchy and moving and will appeal to young people who want to worship in the musical styles of their generation.

The songs I liked best are “Enter” — which I thought could be used as a really rocky introduction to Communion — and the gentle “In the Arms of Jesus”, which could also be used during Communion.

Angotti is an American Christian musician, singer and workshop leader, whose first experience of speaking without stuttering was when he sang “The Church’s One Foundation” at the age of 4.

His musical development was affected by his church musician mother, the songs he sung in children’s choir, learning the piano from the age of 7 and writing Christian songs in his mid-teen years at the St Joseph Seminary, when he was considering entering the priesthood.
