Applications for development funding close soon!
Applications for funding from the Uniting Church’s 2% For Development Fund’s Small Grants Program close on Thursday, March 31.
The program provides up to $8,000 one-off funding to eligible congregations and community groups for community development or social justice/human rights education projects in New South Wales and the ACT.
Successful applicants in 2010 included Cabramatta Uniting Church, which used the funding for English classes for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and Climate Action Network Australia, which funded education to strengthen climate action decision making in local communities.
For those who miss the March 31 deadline, a second round will be offered later in the year.
The second round of funding will invite applicants for both the Small Grants Program and the Partner Program, which provides one organisation annual funding of $10,000 per annum for three years.
For further information on how you can apply for the Small Grants Program under the 2% For Development Fund, please visit the UnitingCare NSW.ACT website or contact Jill Napier, Community Services Consultant, UnitingCare NSW.ACT on 02 9376 1452.
