Parachute Band takes out NZ Best Gospel/Christian Album award
Parachute Band’s third album, Love Without Measure, has earned its most recent accolade.
The album, released at this year’s Parachute Festival, reached number three in the NZ iTunes charts in its first week of release, debuting at number two on the official Recording Industry Association of New Zealand (RIANZ) charts and number one on the Independent Music New Zealand (IMNZ) charts.
Parachute Music founder and CEO Mark de Jong says, “These guys are making huge waves around the world with a nonstop touring schedule that takes them to most continents every year.
“From London to New York, Serbia to South Korea, Parachute Band are winning fans and selling albums. It’s great to see their efforts acknowledged again by the NZ Music Industry.”
This isn’t the first NZMA for Parachute Band: they won the coveted People’s Choice award in 2008. The band’s sophomore album Technicolor was also a finalist for Best Gospel/Christian Album in 2008.
