Schools perform Messiah

Music lovers, supporters of music in schools, and lovers of Handel’s Messiah have been invited to attend a performance of Messiah by the combined forces of the Knox Academy of Performing Arts and Pymble Ladies’ College.

Messiah will be performed at Knox Grammar School in the new Great Hall on Sunday November 27 at 4 pm and on Thursday December 1 at 7 pm in the PLC War Memorial Chapel.

A performance of the Messiah is a considerable undertaking and marks a distinctive moment in the history of both schools, neither of which has undertaken the challenge before.

Messiah draws together serious music buffs as well as many who may know only a few of its famous choruses, perhaps most notably the Halleluiah Chorus.
