Webinar Series: New Connections: What ways can we overcome isolation and loneliness?

Presented by: the Salvation Army, Uniting and Westpac.
Purpose: to bring together diverse voices to learn and have conversations about this pressing community issue and spark innovation in this space.
Background: Salvos are investing in community-led innovation (through their IDEAS platform) and wish to facilitate these sorts of conversations and connections in the hope that it will lead to innovation for community challenges.
Target audiences: Community sector, churches/congregations
Format: 4 or 5 x 30 min webinars run weekly with three parts:
- ‘Expert’ speaker
- Someone with service delivery experience or lived experience sharing a story or insights
- Q&A for the above
Timeframes: Commencing Tuesday-Thursday 20-22 October and then three weeks to follow.
- Dr Michelle Lin – what research tells us.
- Graham Cowan (author – Back from the Brink and RUokay) – how do we support people
- Joel Ramirez (author – yet to be released) conversation around isolation. (Lived experience)
