Songwrite 2015 is the second national UCA gathering for writers of songs for Christian community worship, in Adelaide, 12-14 June 2015.  Songwrite is an opportunity to write new songs for worship. Whether you are a first-time songwriter or have written some songs, you will have creative space, people to listen and learn from, and the opportunity to score and record your songs.
Guest Musician Rev Malcolm Gordon is an exemplary songwriter and musician from New Zealand. He is a Presbyterian minister, currently serving as the Worsip, Music and Arts Enabler with the Knox Centre for Ministry and Leadership in Auckland. He co-ordinates the One Voice project at One Voice. Malcolm has recorded several albums including many songs for worship. His music features at malcolmgordon.bandcamp.com and songsthatunite.org.au
Program:  The program includes input from Malcolm Gordon and other experiences songwriters, a lot of creative space to work with others or by yourself if you choose, assistance from mentors, the opportunity to record your song, a Saturday evening informal cafe performance space, and participation in Sunsay morning worship at Adelaide West Uniting Church. Transport to and from the venue is your own responsibility. Adelaide West UC is very close to Adelaide airport, and 10 minutes drive from the city on a major bus route.
Accommodation is not provided. If you wish us to seek to arrange a local billet, please indicate in the registration process and we will arrange this if possible.
