School of Discipleship is an annual teaching and fellowship conference based in Sydney, Australia. Contending that “Radical Discipleship” is the foundational calling of every Christian, and that nominal commitment is the enemy of authentic Christian belief, School of Discipleship is a place of renewal and recovery; a time of learning and worship.
It is intentionally a training “School” where participants come to be challenged and nurtured, in order to know deeper levels of Christian understanding and fidelity in their lives and churches.
As a three day conference, it is a reflective occasion for personal evaluation and the renewal of our communities; an alternative place for building biblical and political literacy. School of Discipleship is an inspirited educational space, a place of “Confessional theological” encounter, an opportunity for discovering both the heart and the centre of Christian faithfulness.
For more than ten years, the School of Discipleship has been and remains an annual opportunity for participants to learn the way of joy and obedience, working together to discover new and old ways of enlivening our churches in the remaking the world. Committed to an investigation of the issues of identity, spirituality and meaning – through Scripture and prayer – School of Discipleship attendees seek to discern what an inspirited following of Jesus as Lord means for our time.
