The Field Days are a chance to get together, network, share resources and stories, as well as engage with UME field staff. Run by Uniting Mission and Education and the Rural Ministry Unit, the Field Days seek to support rural faith communities and congregations as they grow in capacity.
The Field Days meet continuing education requirements for pastors and ministry agents, and will include:
- Mental Health Workshops
- Making Connections with Community Development Workers
- Lay Ministry Resourcing
- Pamper Space
- Information, Story, and Resource Sharing
- Rural Ministry Unit Bi-Annual Meeting
- Community Building
- Exploring community with other lay and ordained people in rural ministry
Keynote Speaker:
Mark Berry, Community Mission Facilitator, Church Mission Society
Mark is currently working for CMS as their Community Mission Facilitator, he is creative, thoughtful and is a pioneer with a passion for community. Mark is also in a pioneering ministry role in Telford, UK as part of the Safespace community. Mark will be joining us throughout our time together to help us explore the rekindling of life and faith within our rural communities.
