You are invited to a special inter-faith service of Lament and Hope

In this gathering of people from Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim, Jewish, Baha’i and Christian faiths we will join together and mourn with, and for, those who have been betrayed and wounded in childhood. We will name our hurts, bear witness to the experience of adult survivors of child abuse, from testimony gathered by playwright Alana Valentine, hear a story of recovery, reflect in silence and with gentle music, and pray for justice and healing.

Every night will have its morning, every pain will have an end, every burden will be lightened”

This Prayer Service is in support of Blue Knot Day, a national awareness day convened by Blue Knot Foundation on which all communities are asked to unite in support of Australian adult survivors of childhood trauma and abuse. It is hosted by Pitt Street Uniting Church and South Sydney Uniting Church.
