A reflection on Holy Week through the music of Bach, Handel, Pergolesi and others

  • Claire Wright: Soprano
  • Radhika Sukamar-White: Alto
  • Phillip Fraser: Organ

Rev. Radhika Sukumar-White (minister at West Epping Uniting Church) and Claire Wright (an Advanced Ministry Candidate studying at UTC) will be offering a series of performances throughout Holy Week; these performances are entitled “Passion: A Musical Reflection on the Events of Holy Week”. We will be performing a number of musical works by such composers as Handel, Pergolesi, Jenkins, Rutter and others, interspersed with readings and prayers – the performance invites the audience through the events of the last days of Jesus, in the manner of the guided meditation.

Radhika and Claire will be performing five times in Holy Week, at five locations:

  • Sunday 20th March, 7:30pm, Leura Uniting Church
  • Monday 21st March, 7:30pm, St Luke’s Anglican Church Mosman
  • Tuesday 22nd March, 7:30pm, Burwood Uniting Church
  • Wednesday 23rd March, 7:30pm, West Epping Uniting Church
  • Friday 25th March, 7:30pm, MCC Petersham

You are warmly invited to attend a performance, as a way to prepare your heart for the events of the Passion.
