The water crisis in the Murray Darling Basin affords the church the challenge and opportunity to work together for the common good – for the building of a sustainable future, more resilient communities and a healthier Basin river system.
Since 2014 annual tours along the Murray & Darling Rivers have been held.
On the 2018 Northern Basin Tour you can:
• Travel through Northern NSW and outback QLD and connect with its landscapes and ecologies
• Learn about life in the Northern Basin and the agricultural and other industries that support communities within the Basin and beyond
• Meet people who call the Murray Darling Basin home and connect with churches at Dubbo, Gilgandra and Coonabarabran
• Hear perspectives about water use and other complex issues from landholders, scientists, traditional owners and others
• Reflect and share about who we are in Creation and learn about what God is doing and witness the mission of God in the Murray Darling Basin
