A PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DAY FOR CHAPLAINS

Chaplains in their many and varied locations, work on the edges. The edge of life, the edge of mental health, the edge of adolescence, the edge of faith and doubt, and even the edge of the church. This is an exciting place, because the edge is where the church is called to serve in mission, but it also can be a lonely and scary place as new ground is broken.
How do we find God on those edges? How do we make the invisible God, visible? How can we draw people from the edge into discipleship and nurture their faith journey? How can we sustain ourselves and our own faith whilst ministering on the edge?

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

All UCA Chaplains – School, Tertiary, Hospital, Industrial, Aged Care, Disaster, Armed Forces or Police will find the day helpful. Any ministers or students thinking about moving into Chaplaincy are also welcome, as are Chaplains from other faith traditions.
