An invitation to all ministry agents [MoW, MoD, Pastor, Ministry Worker]

The speaker is Craig Mitchell.

Craig Mitchell is National Director, Formation Education and Discipleship for the Uniting Church in Australia. He has worked for 30 years in youth and children’s ministry, Christian education, leadership development and mission planning. Craig has qualifications in economics, Christian education, communication and vocational education. He has studied, taught and produced multimedia over the past 15 years. He is currently completing a PhD on the future of faith formation in the Uniting Church.

This interactive session for ministry workers will explore what it means for a congregation or faith community to be an intentional community of lifelong discipleship. The workshop will draw on research and findings from a national study on the future of Christian formation and education in the Uniting Church.

We will look at stories from churches around Australia, consider some recent thinking about faith formation, and work together on exploring possibilities for congregations, including helpful resources.

BYO Lunch or short walk to Charlestown Square.
