BE CHALLENGED, ENTERTAINED AND ENLIGHTENED

On Sunday 28th June 2015 at Pitt Street Uniting Church, CBD, between 3 -5pm

The Synod Relations with Other Faiths Team invites you to hear Rabbi Jacqueline Ninio and Reverend Dr Matthew Wilson address the likenesses and different approaches of these two Abrahamic faiths, under the chairing of Past Moderator Jim Mein. This will be an interactive session as we learn more about each other, so bring your questions.

Rabbi Ninio is only the third woman rabbi in Australia and the first within Woollahra’s Emanuel Synagogue.  Her diverse interests include ethics, women’s issues, social justice, religious issues and interfaith dialogue with both the Uniting Church and the Catholic Bishops. A very popular speaker and dialoguer.

Dr Wilson currently chairs the National Assembly and Jewish dialogue. He has also served as a chaplain in three universities, as a congregational minister in the Presbyteries of the Hunter and Ku-ring-gai and has lectured at United Theological College and Charles Sturt University in interfaith dialogue and the New Testament. He is one of the Uniting Church’s leading interfaith dialoguers.

Please come and learn as interfaith dialoguing is a commitment of the Uniting Church towards social inclusion, harmony and cross-culturalism in multicultural Australia.

Please let Jim Mein know if you are coming on jimm@nsw.uca.org.au or on telephone 02 9980 8670
