Settlement Services International (SSI) has conducted a 10-week workshop for visual artists who are asylum seekers and this has resulted in 8 works of art that will go on display at Adamstown Arts.
The stories behind the paintings echo the homeland left behind and the unfinished journey to a new place to call home.
Other works by artists from Sydney and the Hunter will also be in the exhibition.
Exhibition opening hours: 9:30am-1:30pm, Mon 5 Oct to Fri 16 Oct (or by appointment)
