Keynote Speaker: Dr Tina Pippin, a world renowned feminist theologian from Agnes Scott College (USA).

Dr Pippin’s plenary address will be on Monday night, the 27th from 7 p.m. at Grace College and is open to all.

The balance of the conference week will be held at Grace College and is designed for women from post-graduate students through to mature scholars and clergy. We have presenters who will deliver papers on a broad range of topics throughout the week. They each identify with different Christian denominations.

We intend to have an evening with female Muslim scholars to share a Ramadan iftar on Tuesday evening, the 28th. Other activities include a panel discussion on the role of women in peacebuilding in the morning followed by an afternoon of Ignatian Spiritual direction on Wednesday the 29th.

During the last full conference day, we will have an excursion into the city to speak with women involved in the church-based refugee and asylum seeker movement on Thursday the 30th followed by drinks and nibbles at UQ Customs House.

The conference website is: www.gcwtc.net. Please register there for the sessions in which you have an interest.
