More Details:

Many former members of Cowra, Koorawatha and Woodstock Methodist Churches are planning family reunions when one hundred and twenty-five years of worship is celebrated by Cowra Uniting Church on Saturday, 10 October and Sunday, 11 October, 2015. The Moderator of the Uniting Church in NSW, Rev Myung Hwa Park, is our guest for the weekend and will be the Guest Speaker for the two main events.

We are thrilled that former ministers, Len and Margaret Thompson, Eric and Jill Drury, Betty Stroud and Lindsay and Sue Cullen have accepted our invitation to join our celebration.

All interested persons are invited to attend the Celebration Dinner with Guest Speaker and entertainment by the Cowra Ladies Choir which will be held at the Cowra Bowling Club at 6.30pm for 7 pm on Saturday 10 October for a cost of $20.

On Sunday 11 October there will be a Thanksgiving Service held at 10 am in the Cowra Uniting Church in Kendal Street, followed by a free picnic lunch, provided by the Church, and again, all persons are warmly invited to attend, particularly those who have had connections with Cowra / Woodstock/ Koorawatha Churches over the years.

For catering purposes for both the Dinner and the picnic, it would be much appreciated if an RSVP indicating attendance could be provided no later than Tuesday 6 October to Mrs. Margaret (Fragar) Pengilly, Ph 02 63421794 – PO Box 228, Cowra 2794 – Email pengillys@bigpond.com or Mrs Diana McLean Ph 0263414890 – Email bigalmcl@bigpond.net.au as soon as possible.

A photographic/text record has been compiled for the last twenty five years to supplement the book published in 1990 called ‘One To Be Sent’ written by Lorna Spackman which celebrated 100 years of Wesleyan – Methodist – Uniting Worship in Cowra. The new book will be available for sale over the weekend

All are invited to take this opportunity to renew friendships and remember good times.
